I always try to experiment with cocoa as i love its rich taste.I got this recipe from a magazine and it looked easy to prepare. I took hardly 10 minutes to prepare the small delicious balls.

Ingredients

Cocoa powder - 10 tbsp

Arrowroot (marie) biscuit - 10 (powdered)

Sugar - 5 tbsp (powdered)

Condensed milk - 1/2 tin (200gm)

Butter - 1 tbsp

In a bowl take cocoa powder, biscuit powder and sugar powder. Mix it well. Add 1 tbsp butter and 1/2 tin condensed milk. Mix all the ingredients together and make a dough. Shape it into small balls. If you find it difficult to shape it , apply butter on your palm and then do it. Optional - coat the balls with desiccated coconut or grated chocolate. I have coated it with desiccated coconut. Recipe source --- Vanitha

Coconut laddu

Hi to all, This is my first post. I've spent the last two weeks thinking where to start. Two days back i prepared coconut laddu. Well.......... its always better to start with something sweeter. This dish is easy to prepare with commonly used ingredients.

Ingredients

Grated coconut - 4-5 cups

Condensed milk - 1 tin (400gm)

Desiccated coconut - 1/2 cup

Butter - 1 tbsp

Mix the grated coconut and condensed milk in a kadai. Cook over a low flame. Keep stirring in between. When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the kadai , check whether the coconut is cooked properly and remove it from the burner. Note that the mixture should be very dry and water content should be as less as possible. Otherwise it will become difficult to roll the mixture. Butter your hand and make lemon sized balls of the mixture before it becomes cold. Finally coat the laddus with desiccated coconut.

Delicious coconut laddus are ready to eat.

You can add cardamom powder and cashew or raisins fried in ghee while making the laddus.
